SCOTLAND’S YARD

SCOTLAND’S YARD CHARITY

Scotland’s Yard is a community initiative focused on augmenting care closer to home for children with cancer and other serious illnesses. Inspired by Scotland, a young cancer survivor, a group of dedicated friends and neighbours are working to raise $50 million in support of Grand River Hospital projects that will help children, and their families, get more care locally.

KIND WORDS FROM THE CHARITY COORDINATOR:

“I had the privilege of working with W Events & Decor, led by Mel Wood, for our charity, Scotland's Yard Road Hockey Classic, and I couldn't be more impressed with the results. From start to finish, Mel demonstrated an unwavering commitment to excellence and a genuine passion for our cause. The planning process was seamless thanks to Mel's meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills. She took the time to understand our vision for the event and went above and beyond to bring it to life. From creating a fabulous VIP Area to sourcing vendors at exceptional prices Mel handled every aspect with professionalism and efficiency.

One of the things that stood out to me the most was her ability to stay calm and composed under pressure. Despite the inevitable challenges that come with event planning, Mel remained composed and solution-oriented, ensuring that everything ran smoothly on the day of the event.

The feedback we received from our VIP Attendees, NHL players and Sponsors was overwhelmingly positive, and we have Mel to thank for that. She helped create an atmosphere that was both elegant and inviting, setting the perfect tone for our fundraiser.

In addition to her exceptional skills as an event planner, Mel is also a pleasure to work with. She is approachable and responsive. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better partner for our charity event. We look forward to working with her again in the future. If you're looking for an event planner who will go above and beyond to make your event a success, look no further than W Events and Decor.”
